SWINDON Supermarine continued their preparations for the start of the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West campaign, next weekend, with a 4-0 friendly success over Hellenic League Royal Wootton Bassett Town on Saturday.
Dave Webb’s men took command early, Jacob Davidge netting on 12 minutes and Bradley Gray adding a second six minutes later.
It stayed that way until the final 20 minutes, when Marine striker Connor Waldon turned before finding the bottom corner on 73 minutes. Luke Hopper wrapped up proceedings as he found the top corner with the fourth goal four minutes from time.
Hellenic League Division One West Fairford Town drew 1-1 in both their first and reserve team matches against Wokingham & Emmbrook.
Ryan Hammersley netted in the reserves’ draw, with Josh Skeates firing the first team ahead in the first half, before Wokingham levelled prior to half time.
Purton beat Wantage Town 3-0.
