HIGHWORTH Town Junior Girls U13s beat Trowbridge Rangers 1-0 at the Rec to get back to winning ways.
It was a hard fought victory against a much improved Rangers side.
A fine Georgia Fraone strike from the edge of the penalty area put the girls ahead mid-way through the first-half. Despite having most of the play the girls failed to add to their lead, but with Rosie Storey in fine form in the Highworth defence chances for the visitors were kept to a minimum, and Highworth ran out deserved winners in the end.
Swindon Spitfires United beat Marlborough Town Ladies 4-1 in the Wiltshire Women’s & Girls Open Age League.
In the Under 17 League, Yeovil Town took three points back to Somerset with a 3-0 away win at Spitfires. In the Under 15s division Spitfires beat Westbury Amazons 4-0.
