LOUIS Thompson has extended his loan at Swindon Town until the new year.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been back at SN1 since September and parent club Norwich City, who are keen to find the Wales Under 21 international a club in the Championship, have agreed to allow Thompson stay to at Town until January 5.
Having come through the ranks at the County Ground, making his debut as a 17-year-old, Thompson made the move to Norfolk last summer before being loaned back to Town.
However, a dislocated shoulder meant that the youngster missed a large chunk of the 2014-15 season before returning for the play-offs.
Since he returned this term, Thompson has made nine appearances for the Town and scored the last-gasp winner against Walsall on Tuesday evening.
