RUMOURED Swindon Town transfer target Tyrone Barnett looks set to sign for AFC Wimbledon after the club announced they are in advanced talks with the striker.
The 30-year-old has just been released by Shrewsbury Town and had been linked with a possible move to the County Ground after cancelling his contract.
The experienced striker has had loan spells at Swindon’s rivals Oxford United and Bristol City in the past but more recently at Southend United, with manager Phil Brown expressing a desire to sign him permanently.
However, he is expected to be Neal Ardley’s sixth summer signing, Ardley confirming on AFC Wimbledon’s website today that he was in advanced talks with the frontman.
