SUPERMARINE chairman Cliff Puffett and his Chippenham Town counterpart Sandie Webb have failed to reach agreement over the sale of winger David Pratt.
Puffett met Webb yesterday to discuss Pratt's proposed move to Hardenhuish Park, but the Bluebirds failed to meet his valuation of the player.
With several Football League clubs rumoured to be interested in the 19-year-old, Puffett insists any deal with Chippenham is far from in the bag.
He said: "David Pratt is still a Swindon Supermarine player until his contract runs out at the end of the month.
"Chippenham cannot sign a player who is still under contract with us. Discussions were friendly between us but we did not reach an agreement and negotiations are still ongoing.
"We've agreed to meet up again in a couple of weeks."
Puffett added: "David was our top goalscorer last year and I'm gutted he wants to leave. But we won't keep any players who don't want to be here.
"Some Football League clubs are interested in David, so watch this space."
