What a stoic performance on Tuesday night. The squad set aside the fact that they had lost their last four home games, set aside the fact that they were playing one of the in-form teams in the leagues.

The boys must have channelled all the negativity emanating from the terraces over the past weeks and put in an individual and team performance that has been missing in recent times.

Playing four across the back has helped and is this the start of Luke Williams having a Plan B? We definitely have to mix it up a bit, as we have been far too predictable this season.

The draw against AFC Wimbledon and now the win against Rochdale could be a defining point in the season. This will be further helped with another measured performance against Walsall this weekend.

Last season, Swindon were triumphant with a 2-1 win. Jon Obika netted early in the first half. Tom Bradshaw cancelled out that goal on 61 minutes. Swindon won the match in dramatic style with Louis Thompson snatching a last-minute winner.

Can we have more of the same on Saturday please, except, let’s not leave it so late in the game.
