A SWINDON Town side was defeated 3-1 by League One side Portsmouth in a training ground friendly today.
Town, who included suspended pair James Dunne and Toumani Diagouraga within their ranks, fell behind to a Ben Close strike just after the half-hour before David Wheeler netted another soon after.
A third goal went in at Pompey's Copnor Road facility as Dan Smith fired home and Town's Jak McCourt hit the woodwork before half-time.
Five minutes after the break, McCourt did find the net for Town, who also included goalkeeper Luke McCormick in their side, while Pompey featured former Town skipper Nathan Thompson.
