CHRIS Jones scored a hat-trick as Swindon Wildcats completed another four-point weekend in NIHL South One on Sunday night with a dominant 5-1 win at Milton Keynes Thunder.
Aaron Nell’s side had thrashed Invicta Dynamos 8-0 on home ice at the Link Centre on Saturday night and were soon back on the goal trail at Planet Ice.
The Cats made a fast start to the contest and goals from Chris Jones and Edgars Bebris gave them a comfortable 2-0 cushion in the first period.
Michael Stratford cut the gap for Thunder with the only goal of the second session, however, Swindon upped the tempo in the third period and a goal from Cats player-coach Nell and two more from Jones sealed the win.
