KESHI Anderson and Marc Richards will both miss Saturday’s League Two tie against Cheltenham as Swindon Town bid to lift themselves into the division’s top half before Christmas.
Anderson is sidelined with a hamstring injury he has struggled with since Town’s win at Port Vale last month while Richards missed fixtures against Colchester and Port Vale after pulling up in the warm ups ahead of both games mentioned.
Both absences have again swung the door open for loan signing Elijah Adebayo, returning Kaiyne Woolery and teenager Scott Twine to put themselves in the starting XI once more.
Wellens said: “Keshi (Anderson) and Marc (Richards) are on the grass training, but they won’t be ready for Saturday.
“They might be ready for the game after that (against Northampton on Boxing Day).
“Toumani (Diagouraga) is back training too as is Chris (Robertson), though he’s a little bit further behind.”
