SWINDON Town loanee, Tyrese Omotoye said he wants to win a Champions League and be the best in the world one day.

The Norwich City striker may just be starting out on his football journey, but the 18-year-old has firm plans on where he’d like to end up.

Before all of that though, the Belgian is aiming to score in every game he plays for Swindon while helping keep Town in League One.

In Omotoye’s first interview with Adver Sport, the striker explained where his self-confidence comes from as well as why he not at all daunted by the challenge in front of him.

He said: “Firstly, I think I’m quite a self-confident person anyway. Secondly, being in and around the first team at Norwich and training with them has shown me players at the highest level.

“I think that’s helped me develop as a person and it’s helped me to embrace the bigger challenges I’ll face.

“I’ve seen what it’s like to be in a winning environment every day. As a player, I want to be the best so I’m going to strive to do that.

“I want to win a Champions League and be the best in the world.”

Before lifting ol' Big Ears aloft above his head, Omotoye is hoping to score several important goals for his new team.

The 18-year-old admits he is not one for putting a number in his head to aim at - instead preferring to score a handful of important goals as opposed to a bag full of worthless consolation strikes.

Omotoye said: “I need to get better, and putting a number on it is tough.

“For me, I just want to make sure I score important goals and make sure I help the team whether it is through goals or assists.

“Obviously, I want to score goals, but I like to take it game by game. The goal is to score in every game, but we’ll see.”
