SWINDON Town winger Diallang Jaiyesimi has been sold to Charlton Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
BBC Radio Wiltshire Sport sent out a post on social media late on Monday night stating they understood Town had sold the winger to the Addicks.
Meanwhile, South London Press' Rich Cawley sent out a post on Twitter stating Charlton were set to complete a permanent deal for the Swindon winger courtesy of a six-figure fee.
Both of the clubs involved confirmed the deal just before midnight on Monday.
Jaiyesimi leaves Town having played 44 times, scoring eight goals and providing five assists.
The 22-year-old Southwark man enjoyed a season-long loan spell at the County Ground over the course of the League Two title-winning 2019-20 campaign before opting to join the Robins on a permanent deal in the summer of 2020 following his release by Norwich City.
Jaiyesimi highlighted his relationship with former boss Richie Wellens as one of the primary reasons for his decision to sign at the County Ground instead of elsewhere.
With four goals in 18 appearances this term, Jaiyesimi was Town's joint-top scorer at time of writing and was certainly in the frame for Adver Sport player of the year.
The winger's departure follows hours after another of Town's stand-out players, Matt Smith, returned to Arsenal prior to being sent out on loan to Charlton.
