ADVER Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players following the club's 3-0 defeat to Peterborough United in League One.
Lee Camp: 7
Gave away a penalty but made five or six saves to prevent an absolute rout for Posh. Booked.
Jordon Garrick: 6
Found it difficult to balance his priorities at wing-back but looked Town’s most dangerous attacking asset. Final ball wasn’t always as good as it could have been.
Taylor Curran: 5
Switched off for the first goal as Dembele wandered by and was a little slow to react during the second too. Otherwise, he made a couple of good blocks and battled away reasonably well.
Anthony Grant: 4
Sold himself for Dembele’s second and just generally looked a bit out of sorts overall.
Jonathan Grounds: 6
Keen to play long balls up to Hope, but kept things simple and tried not to put himself under any unnecessary pressure.
Dom Thompson: 4
Gave the ball away for Peterborough’s second, but didn’t do much else of note. Subbed.
Matty Palmer: 6
Tidy throughout, recycled the ball well – a standard Matty Palmer performance.
Jack Payne: 5
He tried to act as the link between a stranded Hallam Hope and the midfield, without much success. One wayward shot was all I can remember. Subbed.
Christopher Missilou: 4
Looked lost at times and unsure of what his role in the team was. A disappointing day. Subbed.
Scott Twine: 5
Failed to have much effect going forward and booked for a very disappointing dive. Booked.
Hallam Hope: 6
Hope’s hold-up and link play on the floor was very good, but his aerial abilities were not up to much. Not given a shooting opportunity either.
SUBSTITUTES
Brett Pitman: 5
Wasn’t provided with any kind of service – he had one half chance to feed off in 40 minutes. Tuesday might be more his night.
Tom Broadbent: 6
Broadbent slotted in seamlessly at the back and then again up front late on. Almost scored with a late header too.
Joel Grant: N/A
Came on inside the final 10 minutes.
