THINGS have gone from good to great for Swindon Town Football Club as the club's official mascot Rockin' Robin has announced he'll be returning for Saturday's game.

The club has its last friendly of the pre-season against Peterborough United this Saturday (31st) which will be their last chance to prepare for the start of the new season.

Thankfully, the club's mascot Rockin' Robin will be there leading the way.

Town's pre-season has been rushed due to the ownership saga which came to an end recently when the EFL approved Australian businessman Clem Morfuni as the new owner.

All of the pieces had to come together very quickly for Swindon Town as it only had a couple of weeks to get everything ready for the beginning of League Two.

Almost immediately after Morfuni's takeover being finalised Ben Garner was appointed as manager and Ben Chorley was appointed director of football.

The home and away kits for this coming season were revealed, and season tickets were made available for fans.

A number of much-needed signings were completed with trialist goalkeeper Lewis Ward and play-off hero Ben Gladwin joining.

Youngster Harry Parsons also secured his future with the club after receiving a new and improved deal for his loyalty.

Town fans even did their bit by helping to clean the County Ground in preparation for hosting matches again.

All of this has caused a wave of optimism among town fans who have been impressed by Morfuni's initial actions since taking over the club.

But none of this would've been complete if Town's beloved mascot didn't also make a return, so it's good to see that Rockin' Robin will be back!
