HOLLY Harris will compete in the Honda British Talent Cup this season after signing for the MJL Racing team with teammate Rossi Banham.

Harris - who is one of only a handful of British women in the championship - has followed in brother Fraser Rogers’ footsteps in becoming a motorsport fanatic, with the British Superbikes National Superstock competitor helping his younger sibling to make the step up alongside the pair’s mum.

The 15-year-old started riding motorbikes when she was just six years old, and by the age of seven she entered her first race in the FAB racing Championship, competing in the rookie category, the professionals, the metrakit 50, and the metrakit 70s over the next few years.

A new challenge came about at the age of 11 to compete in a part of the Spanish Championship called the Kawkers Cup on an 85cc bike.

This gave Harris the opportunity to race on some of the most famous Grand Prix circuits.

Last year, the Swindon-born racer competed in a senior Minimotos championship, finishing third while simultaneously becoming the first female rider to win a race in the Fab Racing Championship.

Aiming to hit the ground running for her new team, Harris is currently learning as many of the big UK circuits as she can while still trying to enjoy being part of the British Talent Cup aboard her Honda machinery.

Those who have watched Harris believe she has plenty of natural talent and will be winning races in no time.

Harris’ next outing will be at Donington Park on the National circuit as part of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

After that, the 15-year-old has 10 more races over five rounds, including MotoGP at Silverstone.
