SWINDON Town midfielder Jack Payne missed out on being named the EFL's League Two player of the month for November.
The winner was announced on Friday, with Newport County's top-scorer Dom Telford claiming the crown for the second straight month following four goals in four League Two games.
Payne scored three in three across an extremely successful month for his club, but nevertheless he came up just short of a maiden league award.
Telford netted one of his four goals against Swindon in mid-November, but Payne had the last laugh on the day by driving home an 88th-minute winner to seal a 2-1 victory for Ben Garner's men.
