ADVER Sport understands Swindon Town remain interested in signing young Aston Villa winger, Louie Barry, on loan before the end of the January transfer window.
Although a number of clubs are thought to be in for the forward, it is believed Swindon face the most intense competition from League One strugglers Doncaster Rovers for Barrie's signature.
However, Town's more positive season prospects could tip the deal in the League Two club's favour.
Since returning from a disappointing loan spell at League One Ipswich Town where he played just six times without scoring, Barry has featured in three Premier League 2 fixtures for Villa this month.
The 18-year-old scored in Villa's 4-1 drubbing of Reading U23s on Monday night, while fellow alleged target Brad Young netted twice also.
