SWINDON’S Fraser Rogers will compete in the Bennett’s British Superbikes Championship for the 2022 season.

Rogers, 26, has announced that he has signed for PR Racing and will join their team across the 11-round Championship class for the coming year.

The Swindon racer finished fourth in last season’s Pirelli National Superstock Championship while riding for IN Competition Aprilia, and that performance has been rewarded with promotion to Britain’s premier motorcycling championship.

Rogers said: “My aim is to push from the off and consistently finish in the points; if we get the balance right, I want to be as close to the Showdown as possible.

“I would like to thank iForce BMW for this opportunity to show what I can do on the big stage, and you can be assured I will give it everything.”

His new team, PR Racing, will be fielding a trio of iForce BMWs in the 2022 season with Dan Linfoot and rookie Dan Jones being his teammates.

This season will be the first time that PR Racing have had three riders on the grid, with Linfoot as the main rider, being one of the championship’s most experienced competitors.

Rogers joining the team comes off the back of a very strong 2021 campaign in the National Superstock Championship, having racked up seven podium finishes and taking a race win at Knockhill, before eventually finishing fourth overall.

After signing Rogers, PR Racing Team Director Julian Mosquera said: “We have been speaking to Fraser for several years and his success in last year’s Superstock Championship is a clear indication that he means business.

“He will make an exciting addition to our line-up.”

The British Superbike Championship will begin on April 15 at Silverstone, opening the 11-round series which will span the UK, with races also taking place at Oulton Park, Donnington, Knockhill, Brands Hatch, Thruxton, Cadwell Park, and Snetterton.
