Swindon Town head coach Ben Garner has urged his team to be brave at Carlisle United tomorrow.

With 16 games left to play Town lie eighth in League Two - just two points behind Exeter City who occupy the final play-off spot.

Tomorrow's hosts are fighting for their lives to stay in the Football League.

The Cumbrians are 22nd in the table, two points clear of the relegation zone.

Town's 3-0 victory over bottom side Scunthorpe United last Saturday was their first win in six matches, while Carlisle have failed to win any of their last seven games.

And the Town head coach wants his players to play without any fear after the long trek north.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Garner said: “We don’t want to give any team the momentum, we want to have the momentum and impetus in the game.

“We need to play without fear or bravery, show the courage that we are going to play our game and I want the players to enjoy that and express themselves as we did against Scunthorpe.

“As you get towards the end of the season, fight and survival instincts, extra motivation comes into play.

“We want to get back into those play-off places that’s our drive and motivation.

“We understand that Carlisle have got their fight and what they are pushing to do. But with all due respect that’s not our concern, our concern is us. We want the three points.”

Town will be boosted by the return of Jonny Williams,.

The former Crystal Palace man has been out since he was injured in Town’s 3-0 defeat at Tranmere 10 days ago.

When asked about the latest regarding injuries, the Robins’ head coach confirmed that Williams would be travelling with the squad after taking part in a full training session.

Meanwhile, Jack Payne and Dion Conroy could be back in contention next week.

Town have two home games on the horizon - against Walsall on Tuesday and Salford City on February 26.
