Swindon Spitfires under 12s made the short trip to Wootton Bassett on Saturday where they notched up a 10-0 win to keep them six points clear at the top of the Wiltshire Girls League U12s Division.

With the hosts being a player short Spitfires also played with only six.

A much better performance than in their last game against Derry Hill saw some good passing moves that left them 4-0 up at half time with a hat-trick from Tyler Smith and one from Tara Golding.

Smith bagged her second hat-trick in the second half and Golding completed hers with a brace, the other goal coming from Susmita Shahi.

Spitfires: Jemima Glover, Francesca Blackmore, Susmita Shahi, Tara Golding, Tyler Smith, Scarlett York, Stephanie Quince, Astra McMahon, Nikki Bailey Spitfires under 13s travelled to league leaders Melksham Town Youth and put in a sterling performance before going down by the odd goal in five.

Despite Spits good defending Melksham managed to slip three goals in by half time.

Spits hit back after the interval, with Tiffany Gibbons and Ameeta Jassal scoring.

Spitfires played AEK Boco in the Bristol Girls League under 14 Division on Sunday and won 7-0.

Spitfires got off to a dream start after Lampy Ballard followed up a shot and scored from close range.

Alice Smith got the second, Niamh Rawlins the third, and Lucy March, who was excellent in midfield, got the next three. Kelly Nightingale got the seventh after the interval.
