BULLDOG will take on South Swindon in the George Thomas Cup Final after both sides progressed from the semis.

It was Bulldog who caused the shock of the day, beating Premier Division Catalus 4-2.

Doing the damage for Bulldog was Jermaine Spellman with a hat-trick and a well-taken free kick from Ben Dalton.

South Swindon disposed of Trailers 3-0 in their semi-final clash, Paul Newman, Anton Webb and D Titcombe scoring.

The game of the day in the Premier Division was the tussle at Southbrook between Shield and Dagger and league champions Rodbourne Arms.

The home side took the lead in the first 10 minutes through a well-taken strike from Nolan Paul.

The Daggers defence coped well with the Arms forwards thanks to the marshalling skills of the Ashby brothers and just prior to half-time another attack saw them extend their lead with Jake Johnson scoring just before the break.

Rodbourne Arms replied in the second-half when S Davis scored but Dagger responded again to inflict the first defeat over their rivals since December 2006 when Johnson scored his second goal of the game.

Fratellos moved into second spot with an emphatic 7-1 win over North Swindon.

On target for the home side were A Barton (2), R Plumb (2) and R Mazzotta (2) along with a first senior league goal from M Bawn.

Bakers Arms entertained lowly VBA Rangers in the driving snow but the game heated up with two early goals from the home side - Jim Miller and Kevin Priest on target.

Rangers missed several chances before Gareth Walton slotted past the keeper and the scores were levelled when he grabbed a second goal.

Walton completed his hat-trick in the second half to put Rangers 3-2 up before a two-goal salvo from Priest gave Bakers a 4-3 advantage.

Rangers pressed the home side for an equaliser and, after a sending off, a late free-kick was headed home by Pete Cork to snatch a point.
