SWINDON Town midfielder Mo Dabre has signed for Banbury United on a short-term loan.

Dabre joins Town teammate Harry Parsons at the National League North side until the end of October.

The 19-year-old has featured three times for Swindon so far this term, playing 90 minutes in both EFL Trophy group-stage defeats to Crystal Palace Under-21s and Plymouth Argyle, respectively.

Dabre's only other outing for Scott Lindsey's men came in the final 20 minutes of Town's 2-0 League Cup loss away at Walsall back in August.

Dabre will now head to The Spencer Stadium for a month where he’ll have the opportunity to feature more regularly in a competitive environment.

The switch to the Puritans signals Dabre’s second loan of his career, having spent a short time at Chippenham Town in National League South back in February last term, where he made 13 appearances, scoring once, as the Bluebirds reached the play-off semi-finals.

Dabre spent his youth career in Italy with Serie C side Lecco 1912 before moving to England, where he went on to join the Volenti Academy.

He signed for Town in August 2021, making his senior debut the following month in the EFL Trophy against Arsenal Under-21s, opening the scoring in a 2-1 victory.

In a statement announcing the move, Swindon said: "We wish Mo all the very best and look forward to monitoring his progress over the coming weeks."
