ADVER Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players following the Robins’ 2-1 defeat to Hartlepool United on Saturday.

Sol Brynn: 7

Could do nothing about either goal, wasn't tested too much before that - made a good save to deny Jamie Sterry at his near post.

Remeao Hutton: 5

Wasted a very good chance to double the lead (although not the only culprit) and the equaliser came down his side of the pitch.

Tom Brewitt: 6

He will have nightmares about Jakub Stolarczyk tonight - but what a save to deny Brewitt a goal. Strong in the air, and composed until the hellish end to the game.

Frazer Blake-Tracy: 6

Must take blame along with the rest of the defence for Ollie Finney having the freedom of the north east to pick out the bottom corner, but was a steady presence before the equaliser and aerially dominant.

Joe Tomlinson: 6

Continued his return from injury - not the worst display by any means, a very good first half but ultimately the result will overshadow the performance.

George McEachran: 7

Produced an excellent block to deny Callum Cooke a volley at goal and generally broke up play well, but he and his teammates will wonder how Ollie Finney was able to move into so much space for the winner.

Jonny Williams: 7

Part of an excellent first half in which the midfield ran the game, picking passes and generally being a nuisance. Subbed on 74 minutes, perhaps the wrong decision in hindsight.

Saidou Khan: 6

Wasted a very presentable chance in the second half, dragging the ball wide of the far post. Tidy in possession, but part of the midfield that went AWOL for Finney's winner.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy: 8 (MOTM)

Swindon Advertiser:

Easily the best player on the pitch for 87 minutes - his goal was excellent, had other efforts saved, terrified the Pools defence with the ball at his feet. Denied on one occasion by a ridiculously good recovery from Sterry - deserved more than the loss today.

Charlie Austin: 7

Held the ball up well, benefiting Hepburn-Murphy in particular. Had the ball in the net, but the flag correctly denied him. Subbed after going down for a second time in the box.

Tyrese Shade: 5

The only change from last week, Shade was unable to provide a case for starting over the suspended Jacob Wakeling. One of many who wasted presentable chances in the second half which would have put the game beyond Pools.

SUBSTITUTES

Dylan Kadji: 5

Didn't really affect the game, but hard to blame him too much for the madness at the end.

Tomi Adeloye: 5

Only on for ten minutes plus the sizeable added time - no impact as the hosts turned it around.
