FOREST Green Rovers have made a couple of digs at Swindon Town after the Gloucestershire club re-signed Jordan Moore-Taylor on Wednesday.

Moore-Taylor was released by Forest Green's former manager Duncan Ferguson at the end of the last campaign and joined Michael Flynn's group on trial during the early part of pre-season.

But after playing just two matches for the Robins, it came as a surprise to most when the 29-year-old centre-back was confirmed as having returned to his old club on Wednesday.

In doing so, the recently-relegated club posted a picture of a black locker with a Swindon badge underneath a Forest Green crest and Moore-Taylor's name at the bottom - hinting at the possible change of heart.

Shortly afterwards, Rovers quoted a tweet from a Swindon fan account which listed Moore-Taylor's credentials and a message urging Town to "sign him."

Above that message, Forest Green's admin said: "OK. Will do" with a thumb emoji.

A mixture of responses from both sets of fans met the two tweets, and with the first League Two fixture between the pair occuring on Tuesday, August 15, a livlier atmosphere could be in store at the New Lawn.
