GREENMEADOW Youth continued their domination of the Castle Combe Sixes with the club's A and B sides (pictured) contesting a keenly-fought final.
Fresh from victory at the FC Chippenham and Highworth Town tournaments, the Greenmeadow squad were crowned kings of the six-a-side format with a well-deserved win for the A team.
Both sides started well in the final before the prolific Connor Waldon fired the A team in front with a fine finish from close range.
Waldon sealed a 2-0 victory with his second of the game, to leave dad and B team boss Mark with mixed emotions.
Earlier in the day, the A team topped their group with four wins out of four and went on to reach the final without conceding a goal.
Greenmeadow B suffered a defeat in the group stages, but they beat a strong Melksham side in the last eight with a fine team goal finished by Harry Trott.
They needed a penalty shoot-out to overcome Castle Combe in the semis, as goalkeeper Connor Thompson made some fine saves to ensure an all-Greenmeadow final.
The victory for the A team was the latest in a string of successes for the squad, who won the Wiltshire County Cup and Tesco South West Regional Cup this season.
