Dan Kemp said that MK Dons are yet to make clear their plans for him in the January transfer window ahead of a potential recall from Swindon Town.

The 24-year-old has lit up League Two this season, notching ten goals and eight assists for Swindon in 20 appearances, whilst on a season-long loan in the same divisions from the Buckinghamshire club.

Kemp said that he has had conversations with the new manager at Stadium MK, but was yet to be given a clear indication over what will happen to him once the transfer window opens.

He said: “I have spoken to him [Mike Williamson] once or twice, we spoke about different types of things that I think I should keep between us two.

“With the club [Mk Dons] I haven’t really spoken to them in too much detail about what is going to happen.

“We have had one or two conversations, but it will be down to them to make the decisions.

“At the end of the day, I am on loan here until the end of the season with a potential recall, so it is up to them with the decision they make and that is out of my control.”

Town boss Michael Flynn has been involved in these situations before, having had Danny Johnson brought back early from Walsall by Mansfield Town last season.

Flynn said that clubs to tend to give you an idea of their thinking ahead of time, but with a trio of new managers at the clubs Swindon have players on loan from, this situation is different to most.

He said: “They do tend to [tell you what they are planning to do], but I would say that in this circumstance now, all three have had new managers.

“It is one of them where it is quite unique, where they [the new managers] will want to see the squad they are working with at the minute, then they will consider other options, i.e. the loan players that are out or who they are going to try and sign in the January window.

“I have planned with them [the loan players] and without them, you have got to have all bases covered.

“I am trying to make sure that we have got replacements who can be as good or better than the players we have had here. It is going to be tough, as they have all been superb for us.”
