Swindon Town have offered a long-term contract to Australian youth international Eddie Ince following a successful trial period, according to FTBL.

The Australian outlet is reporting that Clem Morfuni is looking to expand the club’s links with his native Australia and would like to bring the 17-year-old across.

Ince has been reportedly training with Town and impressed Michael Flynn to the point that Swindon are looking to offer him a long-term deal.

The two-cap Australia under-17 international has come through the ranks at Brisbane Roar, the club that Charlie Austin spent six months with before returning to Town last year, but is yet to make a senior appearance in the A-League for the club.

Ince has been attracting interest from multiple English clubs, going on trial with Brentford B following his time with Swindon and has been monitored by AFC Bournemouth since they spotted him during a school tour to the UK.

He was part of the Australia team that was defeated by eventual winners Japan in the under-17 Asian Cup in 2023, featuring against Saudi Arabia and in the quarter-final loss to Japan.

The midfielder shares Japanese and British heritage, with his father being English and his mother Japanese.
