Swindon Town have announced that their League Two clash with Tranmere Rovers has now been rescheduled for Tuesday 27 February.

The game at the County Ground was initially due to be played on Saturday 20 January, but was called off following a pitch inspection the day before due to a frozen pitch, as a result of cold weather across the country.

The match was one of seven fixtures in League Two that weekend which were postponed due to frozen pitches.

Tranmere will now have the trip to Wiltshire in February with a 7.45 pm kick-off, with all tickets that were purchased for the original game being valid for the rearranged fixture.

The visit of Tranmere was to be Gavin Gunning’s first in interim charge of Swindon after the departure of Michael Flynn, so he instead began his spell with a 2-0 victory over Bradford City on Saturday.

Rovers also won at the weekend, a 2-1 victory over Grimsby Town to move 17th in League Two and they are currently on a run of four wins in their last six, a run which started with a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture against Swindon at Prenton Park in December.
