Swindon Supermarine have completed the double signing of goalkeeper Billy Thomas on loan from Shortwood United and Harry Williams from Salisbury FC.

Williams was the Southern League Premier South top goal scorer whilst with Supermarine last season, netting 36 goals in all competitions.

The striker departed for Gloucester City last summer before moving on to Salisbury in November but left the Raymond McEnhill Stadium last week and now returns to the Webbswood Stadium.

Speaking to club media, head coach Stuart Fleetwood said: "To get in a player of Harry’s calibre, the league's top scorer last season, is a massive coup for us.

"It’s nice to have him back home where he feels comfortable and he’s just going to add competition to an already exciting forward line which already has a lot of goals in it, so I am delighted to have him back”.

Williams added: "No [it didn't take much convincing], I spoke to Fleets and I am excited about what he has going on."

Supermarine have also dipped into the market to add Thomas on loan from Shortwood United to add as cover for Conor Brann after Louis Evans left for Hartley Wintney.

Thomas has been on the bench for Supermarine for the last few games, but the transfer has now been officially confirmed by the FA.

Fleetwood said: "We needed cover after Louis left for Hartley Wintney and in Billy, we have a young goalkeeper willing to learn.

"He’s great in stature, 6ft 4 and a great lad who is very coachable and in the early sessions he’s had with us, has shown fantastic promise”.

Thomas added: "I’m delighted to join the club and to join such a great team. I’m very grateful for the opportunity and am looking forward to getting stuck in, learning and showcasing what I can do.”
