Swindon Town under-18s will take on local rivals Bristol City at Ashton Gate in the FA Youth Cup quarterfinals.
Town had already secured their passage into the last eight with a stunning 2-1 victory against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last Friday night and will now face a much shorter trip in the next round as they face Bristol City.
City progressed to this stage after comfortably seeing off Burnley in the fifth round with a 3-0 victory to set up the West Country derby for a place in the semi-finals.
Swindon have made it to the quarterfinals five times previously in their history, with only one team having ever made it further, a side inspired by Don Rogers that knocked out Arsenal at this stage and seeing off Queen’s Park Rangers in the semi-final before eventually losing to Manchester United in the final.
To this point in the competition, Town have conceded just one goal as they have progressed beyond Aldershot Town, Wimborne Town, Luton Town, Manchester United, and Sunderland to make it to this stage.
The date for this game has not yet been set, but the games have to be played before Saturday, March 9.
