Just months after signing a one-year contract extension, popular homegrown talent Harrison Minturn has signed a new deal committing his future to Swindon Town

Harrison has now extended his stay at the County Ground, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2026/27 League Two campaign, subject to EFL approval.

The 20-year-old defender, who came through Swindon Town's academy structure, made his first-team debut back in November 2021 during an EFL Trophy group-stage tie against Newport County, playing the full 90 minutes in the 1–0 victory.

Since his debut in 2021, Harrison has gone on to feature 40 times for Town across EFL League Two, EFL Trophy/Cup, and FA Cup competitions with 25 of those appearances this season before his injury earlier this year.

Harrison Minturn on signing a new deal at Swindon Town said: "Really happy to sign another deal here, obviously being from Swindon it means a lot to me and my family to play for the club, it’s a pleasure and a privilege."

"Club means everything to me, still get nervous putting on the shirt each game and still get goosebumps when I walk out onto the pitch. It’s every football fan's dream to play for their club and I want to be part of getting the club back to where it belongs."

"The Gaffer had a big impact on me signing as he has everything I want in a coach and I think he’s got the right morals and skills that suit me and can help me and teach as he’s had a great career himself and he can pass that experience down so there’s no one really better to learn off."

When Harrison signed the initial contract extension in October 2023, head of football, Jamie Russell, said: “It’s great to have a local lad come through the academy and receive his first professional contract.

“Mino has adapted really well to first-team men's football and produced key performances last season with Carlisle at home and Leyton Orient away.

“For the academy, it's vital to have a player who reflects the values of not only the first-team but the club as well and he demonstrates this on a regular basis and we're delighted he sees his future with Swindon Town Football Club."
