MARK Collier insists there will be no FA Trophy hangover this weekend as Supermarine travel to Stourbridge in the Southern League Premier Division.

Marine made the last 16 of the national competition before their exit last weekend at the hands of Blue Square Premier big boys Ebbsfleet United.

Now back to reality they travel to struggling Stourbridge tomorrow, but manager Collier has warned his players that their cup heroics will count for nothing if they don’t follow it up in the league.

“The Trophy is long gone now and we have to make sure it is not a case of ‘After The Lord Mayor’s Show’,” revealed the boss.

“It’s done and dusted and it is vital that we take that experience into our league form.

“We’ve had a good first half of the season and if we can perform just as well in the second half then we could be looking at a decent finish.

“But if anyone is just thinking we can put our feet up now because we’ve had a good cup run then they are sadly mistaken.

“I’m judged on league position and no-one will remember the Trophy when it comes to the last week of the season.”

Marine make the trip to the West Midlands tomorrow without defenders Gary Horgan (suspension) and Danny Allen (ankle), while midfield playmaker Chris Taylor faces a late fitness test on a hip injury.

And Collier has called for some mental strength ahead of what is sure to be a bruising encounter.

“Stourbridge is a dangerous place to go to, and they are a big, physical side,” he said.

“We’ll have to be switched on from the minute we get there until the minute we leave.

“Their league position isn’t fantastic and they bad a made start to the season, but since then they have had some decent results and are very difficult to beat.

“Our mental attitude has to be spot on.

“Everyone has a job to do and we will talk to the players and remind them of their roles and responsibilities. If they do that then we should be able to function well as a team.

“This is a tough division, and points are lost all across the league every weekend. We’ve got to make sure that we aren’t one of those this time.”

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Chippenham Town travel to managerless Yate Town, hoping to record their fifth win of 2009.

While Brian Hughes’ resurgent Cirencester Town side are away at Andover as they continue to head the right way up Division One South and West.
