LLOYD Macklin hit a brace as Town’s reserves beat their Southampton counterparts 3-0 this afternoon.
The wide man grabbed his second-half double either side of a Ben Joyce strike as Swindon recorded an impressive win.
Teenager Macklin opened the scoring on the hour mark when he turned home Chris Allen’s cross at the far post, and within minutes the lead was doubled through Joyce’s close-range effort.
Town sealed the win when Hamdi Razak fed Macklin, who made no mistake with a neat finish to complete the scoring.
