Swindon Spitfires’ Under 10s maintained their 100 per cent record with a 2-0 win at an improving Benson United to remain clear at the top of the Oxford Girls League.

The Under 11s find themselves in a similar position following their 3-0 win at Bardwell, as do the Under 12s, who threatened to run up a cricket score in their home game with Thame.

They knocked in eight first half goals, but could only find the net once more in the second period to make the final score 9-0.

The Under 14s slipped to a 6-1 defeat at North Leigh despite being level at 1-1 at half-time.

Meanwhile, the heavy overnight rain put paid to Spitfires Ladies cup game at Falmouth, and the reserves home cup game with Marlborough.

Both are now rescheduled for this coming Sunday.
