JAMIE Cureton is not a fan of cliff-hanger' endings and the striker is anxious to ensure a happy conclusion to the campaign as speedily as possible.

Quite simply, the 30-year-old does not want to drag the survival drama out to the bitter end.

He said: "Let's get the points we need in the bag as quickly as possible and let all the other teams have the last day drama that you see unfolding.

"I'll steer clear of all that thank you very much.

"The sooner we get what's required the better. I'm sure the fans would be happy to avoid that sort of drama' as well.

"Picking up a few more victories away from home will certainly help that process and hopefully we can start with Bradford City."

Goals have been something of a problem on the road and Town have yet to hit double figures away from the County Ground.

Only Gillingham have managed such a paltry tally on their travels and Cureton acknowledges that has to change.

He said: "That just isn't good enough. If that tally was even double that at this stage then there's a good chance we wouldn't be in the position we are.

"We certainly need to be looking to at least double it before the end of the season. I'm sure we can.

"When you're not getting results away then it just puts that extra pressure on your home games. We're going well at the County Ground but it just eases things a little bit if you can get three points away here and there."

Today's trip to Valley Parade gives Cureton the chance to catch up with an old colleague from Korea.

Bradford City striker Andy Cooke was a teammate of Cureton's during the Town man's short spell with Busan Icons.

He said: "Andy arrived in South Korea at the same time as me and we lived in the same apartment complex over there.

"He's a good lad and we socialised quite a bit together. There was also the fact that we spoke the same language I suppose."

Friendship will be put aside for the duration of the match though.

Cureton said: "Bradford seem to be in a position where their season go could either way.

"If we were to beat them then it would drag them a bit closer which is what we want to do.

"I don't think it's a ground where I've had the best scoring record over the years so hopefully I can start to put that right."
