CHARLIE Austin has left Swindon Town and signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at Burnley.
The striker had looked likely to move to Ipswich when he travelled for talks at Portman Road yesterday, but was not sufficiently impressed to sign.
He then asked permission to speak to Burnley which was granted, and a switch to the Championship side has been finalised today.
Burnley manager Eddie Howe tried to sign Austin when he was in charge at former club Bournemouth in the summer of 2009, but was prevented by a transfer embargo.
