THE shock of the weekend in the Swindon Sunday League came in Division Three, as table-toppers Rodbourne were thumped 7-0 by Regent.

Sam Ockwell hit a hat-trick and Steven Stewart bagged a brace, while there were also singles for Mikey Jack and Johnny Coole.

High-flying Cats Solutions secured a 4-2 win against Dorcan Old Boys as Chris Adams (2), Ryan Keech and James Williams registered. Dave Devine and Barry Sheddon netted Dorcan’s consolations.

Dave Levett (2) and Jason Heron scored in Coleview’s 3-1 victory over Village Inn, with Michael Povey registering for the latter outfit.

Elsewhere in the division, a Matt Wood strike gave Dynamo Ashton all three points against Campbell James.

In Division One, the top of the table clash between Greyhound and Penhill saw the former emerge 3-1 winners, Richard Saunders (2) and John Mills scoring.

Coleshill and JobsInSwindon produced a nine-goal thriller with Jobs edging the contest 5-4.

Taz Adams (2) Alex Harper (2) and Rich Carter all netted for the victors, with Coleshill’s goals scored by Jason Evans (2), Richard Evans and Louis Bouwers.

AFC Gas romped to a 6-2 success against Blyskawica, as Tom Dingle (2), Matty Bissett, Andy Brien, Ryan Thomas and Dan Kilderry registered.

CK Scaffolds stayed top of Division Two after their 4-4 draw against Shield & Dagger. Highworth Town’s TJ Bohane grabbed a hat-trick and Johnny White scored the other goal for Scaffolds.

Second-placed Dolphin beat McLean Heating 2-1 thanks to a brace from Matthew Bown. Aiden Williams scored for McLean.

Brian Mills (2), Richard Payne and Ian Bailey took the plaudits as Wanborough crushed Five Bells 4-1.

In Division Five, Jesters got back to winning ways with a 5-2 win against Royston. On the scoresheet were Gary Turner (2), Craig Jones, Gavin Blundell and Anthony Brown.

Leaders Patheon beat second-placed Rodbourne Real 2-1 with Leon Hills and Eddie Damarell netting.

Mark Chatwin (2), Martin James, James Lewis and Lee Stevens were among the goals as Wheatsheaf saw off Thamesdown 5-2.

New Inn and Red Lion drew 1-1 to share the points in Division Six, Daniel Bond scoring for the former side.

In Division Seven, Nythe consolidated their lead at the top with a 6-3 win against West Swindon. Registering were Adam Webb (3), Lee Hedges, Darren Coleman and Danny Mastalerz .

Walcot won 4-2 against Cartus with Adam Jones (2), Dean Hughes and Ashley Smith scoring for the former side. Jason Pickett netted a brace for Cartus. Carl Wyatt got the only goal of the game as Stratton Saints edged out Queensfield 1-0.

In the Knockout Cup, New Century progressed to the semi-final with a 4-2 win against The Globe. Tom Valentine (2), Danny Mason and Michael Solan scored, the latter from long range.
