PAUL Tisdale is not the first manager this season to voice his surprise at Swindon Town’s current position in League One, writes SAM MORSHEAD.

But the Exeter boss will not be taking the Robins lightly when they visit St James’ Park this evening.

“Swindon are a good team and I’m very surprised by the position they are in and we aren’t going to underestimate the challenge, but I like to think we can get back to winning ways at the Park,” he said.

“They have made a few changes and in time those players will settle and gel together – our job is to play sufficiently well to ensure that doesn’t happen against us.”

Tisdale, who led his team to a superb 2-0 win at Notts County on Saturday, has recognised the threat of Town’s new-look strike force of Elliot Benyon and Jonathan Obika.

And he has told his defenders to be on their guard tonight.

“We have seen a lot of Elliot Benyon from his time at Torquay and we have been up against Jon Obika a number of times from when he was on loan at Yeovil.

“Both of them are good goalscorers and I’m sure Danny will be hoping they can form a good partnership.”
