JOINT Supermarine caretaker boss Gary Horgan has left the door open for Jack Hopper to remain at the club.
The striker, younger brother to fellow front man Luke, was drafted in as emergency cover for Tuesday’s 1-0 win at Tiverton.
And the teenager, who is dual-registered with Western League side Corsham Town, could find himself involved further at Marine in 2010/11, although not this weekend as they have no game.
“We knew we were going to be struggling for Tuesday night through illness and work commitments,” said Horgan.
“It was a case of getting someone in at really short notice who could meet up and do a job for us.
“Obviously he did well so we’d like to keep him involved, certainly until the end of the season.”
Marine will train tomorrow morning before meeting with the club commitee to discuss the way forward, following the recent resignation of manager Mark Collier.
Elsewhere in the Southern Premier tomorrow, Chippenham welcome Oxford City and Cirencester visit Tiverton.
