GREYHOUND lifted the Swindon Sunday League Division One title with a 4-2 victory over AFC Gas.

Steve Robinson and Taylor Gill both hit braces for the champions, as goals from Mark Bennett and Andrew Brien were not enough for Gas.

Elsewhere in the division, AFC Cricklade and Penhill fought out a goalless draw.

New Century need one more win to be crowned champions of Division Two after beating CK Scaffolds 6-0. Lee Stoddart registered twice for Century and there were also goals for Danny Mason, Kev Coles, Micky Solan and Tom Valentine.

Inter Sandgate consolidated a midtable position with a 5-3 victory against Wanborough, thanks to a hat-trick from David Rendle and two from Dean Wootton.

Wanborough’s scorers were Pete Myall, Steve Lawrence and Brian Mills.

Campbell James lost their Division Three status after losing 4-2 to Village Inn, for whom Adam Fitzgibbons (2), Chris Dixon and Danny Broadbank got on the scoresheet.

Campbell’s replies came through John Peters and Matthew Packer.

Cats Solutions ended their league campaign with a 5-1 victory over DBS. Ryan Keech and Aaron Williams both struck doubles and there was also a goal for Aiden Williams. Results elsewhere will now decide whether or not Cats win the title.

Johnny Coole grabbed a hat-trick as The Regent smashed eight past Dorcan Old Boys.

Steve Stewart scored twice and Ryan Gardiner, Chris Balfe and Mikey Jack also found the net for Regent.

In Division Four, Westbrook won 1-0 at Deers Leap and Fox & Hounds snatched a sensational 6-4 victory from their trip to Tawny Owl.

Patheon remain top of Division Five after a 5-0 success against Jesters, as Aaron Hall fired three and Eddie Damarell pitched in with two.

Goals from Simon Gale, Simon Neil, Tom Wren and Craig Simmons could not prevent Lamb Marlborough slipping to a 6-4 home defeat to Wheatsheaf.

In Division Six, New Inn beat Rat Trap 6-0 thanks to goals from Lee Brown (2), Eddie Jose, Paul Loveridge, Ian Carter and Dan Hiles.

The clash between Trak Employment and FS Swindon was abandoned by the referee with the score locked at 3-3 due to fighting between the players. FC Parks ran out 8-1 winners at Old Nick.

The top two in Division Seven shared the spoils as Nythe and Globe drew 2-2. Adam Webb and Keiron Jennings scored for Nythe, Roger Emms and Stewart Hemsley for Globe.

Eldene edged past FC Walcot 4-3. Steven Holland, Lee Hayward and Adam Jones all found the net in vain for Walcot.

Two goals from Aaron Palmer proved crucial as Stratton Saints saw off Pot of Gold 4-2. Jamie Saunders and Carl Wyatt also got on the scoresheet for Saints. Elsewhere in the division, West Swindon beat Queensfield 2-0 and Oak Furniture crept past Cartus 1-0.
