PAUL Hart has been sacked as Swindon Town's manager.

The 57-year-old is the latest casualty of the club's relegation to League Two following chairman Andrew Fitton's resignation yesterday.

Paul Bodin will now take charge of the side for Town's remaining two matches against Oldham at home and away to Tranmere.

Hart arrived at the County Ground in March following the sacking of Danny Wilson, charged with saving Swindon from the dreaded drop.

But Hart managed just one win in 11 matches which resulted in the club being relegated last weekend after a 3-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Portsmouth boss was appointed by Fitton but with Jeremy Wray now in the chairman's hot-seat, albeit on an interim basis, the club has decided Hart is not the man they want to lead them out of League Two.

It is thought Hart was previously offered a director of football role at the County Ground but with Wray now the man in charge at the helm the club has decided on a clean break. Ian McParland has also left the club along with Hart.
