Swindon Town are expected to make an announcement tomorrow to clarify the club's situation regarding the appointment of a new manager.
A shortlist of three names were discussed at a board meeting on Tuesday following a week-long session of interviews with an initial eight candidates.
The club do now have a preferred candidate in mind, but it will be at least a day before it will becomes clear who that may be.
