Croft Juniors secured third place in Under 13 Division 2 with a hard fought 2-0 victory over Hungerford. After a goalless first half Louis O'Shea gave Croft the lead early in the second period and it was O’Shea again who wrapped up the points in stoppage time.

The club picked up their second win in two days thanks to a 6-3 success against Liden Community B. Liden were twice in front but Croft fought back to secure the points with their goals coming from Tom Holland, Scott Hartley, Brandon Sardo and a Louis O’Shea hat trick.

Swindon Supermarine won the Under 14 Division 2 title thanks to a brace from captain Callum Cook against Greenmeadow.

Cook headed in the opener from a corner making the half time score 1-0 to Supermarine. Cook then grabbed his second immediately after the restart with a fine long-range effort from outside the box.

Blunsdon Colts secured a 7-1 victory against Avebury as Abir Rahman bagged a hat-trick whilst Mahbub Rahman, Thomas Howe, Ricki Nijjar and Josh Palfreeman all scored one each.

Wootton Bassett went in at half time against Abbeymeads in Under 15s Division 1 with a fortunate two-goal lead, but Abbey came out stronger at the start of the second half and grabbed one back.

Bassett ended the game with nine men after Daniel Watt broke his wrist and Max Kitchin suffered a hamstring strain, but they managed to hold on to claim the three points.

Highworth Town Juniors secured Under 15 Division 2 status for next season with a 4-2 victory over Old Town United.

The team dedicated the win to the team sponsor Paul Mitchell following his sad passing earlier this week.

Finding the net for Highworth were Jordan Jones (3) and Ashley Palfrey.

Elsewhere, Swindon Spitfires’ Ladies warmed up for their County Cup final next Sunday by reaching the semi-final of the Chinnor six-a-side.

Spitfires exited the tournament in the last four after a 1-0 defeat to Wealdstone, which was the only goal they conceded in the entire tournament.

The Swindon side started the group stage with a 1-0 win over Carterton Red with Kayleigh Reeves netting, then saw off Aylesbury United A 3-0 through Emily Sparkes, Cara Costello and Reeves.

A single Sparkes goal saw off Wealdstone in the two teams’ first meeting of the day, and a Natalie Haigh strike gave Spits a 1-0 win over Chinnor ‘A’ that saw them top the group with an unblemished record.

In the quarter-final a Reeves brace and a rare Lyndsey Welsh goal saw off Chinnor B, before a single goal defeat in the semi saw them exit the tournament as Wealdstone gained their revenge.

Elsewhere, Spitfires under 13s completed their season with a fine 11-1 win over visitors Banbury United, and the under 10s saw off Wantage Girls 5-0.

But the under 15s lost out 4-0 to Wiltshire League champions FC Chippenham in a friendly.
