RICHARD Farnan will be one of the busiest men at the Oasis Leisure Centre tonight as he takes five fighters into battle.

The Horseshoe Gym trainer has Ryan Martin facing Faheem Khan, Danny Bharj fighting Liam Richards, Kelly Morgan taking on Melinda ‘Angry Bird’ Lazar, Joe Beeden tackling Qasim Hussain and Ben Heap making his debut against Victor Edagha on the Lights Out show this evening.

And with nine bouts on the bill, Farnan will have little time to breathe, however, the trainer has got a plan of action to make it all run smoothly.

“The aim is not to have them fighting back-to-back, if they are and I need some help then we will come out when we are ready,” said Farnan.

“I have briefed all the guys and Kelly that whoever has fought first they will come back in and help warm up the next person up - we are going to rotate it that way.

“After that then I can come in and do the last bits of preparation, I’ll also have another second come in with me so it will be tough but it will be managed.”

Getting his quintet ready for the battle has already seen Farnan have to juggle his time and attention, but he insists everyone have got everything that they have needed.

“The training has been a good mix and they have got the attention that they needed,” Farnan said.

“I work on fight night with Phill Day, he is massively experienced and it was Phill that said get the other lads who have fought warmed up.

“We are going to be working as a team. I’ll wrap everybody’s hands and between all of us we will glove people up and warm them up.

“It will be stressful, but we will get it done. If we need an extra five minutes then we will take an extra five minutes.”
