WHITE Horse Cricket Club are promising a couple of special guests at their six a side tournament at Broad Hinton on Sunday.
Swindon Speedway boss Alun Rossiter is among those expected to feature, while organisers are also hoping to have another name from the local football world involved.
The club’s Sam Morshead said: “We run the tournament every other year to raise money for both the club and our chosen charity – Breast Cancer Care. Having Rosco on board provided plenty of entertainment value a couple of years ago and we’re delighted he’ll be back to open the batting again, however briefly, this time around.
“Rosco isn’t the only big name from Swindon sport who’ll be playing this year and if I was a football fan locally I might consider popping up to Manor Farm to see our other special guest in action. His identity is going to remain a mystery for now.’’ Games at Manor Farm will start at 11am, with a bar, cocktail bar and barbecue on site.
