WILTSHIRE'S bowlers hit back towards the end of the opening day to leave their Unicorns Championship Western Division clash against Wales at South Wilts CC finely poised.
The home side, having won the toss and decided to bat, were dismissed for 262 in under 67 overs having recovered from 10-3 and 50-4 at one stage.
Corsham's Ashur Morrison made a patient 46 and shared a partnership of 65 with Jake Lintott, who scored a run-a-ball 45 and later shared a stand of 65 with Tahir Afridi (46).
Late hitting from debutant James Arney 32, Andy Carroll (26) and Joe King (20 not out) helped Wiltshire up their total.
The visitors' reply was given a solid start by SCJ Wood (33) and Gareth Ansell (48 not out), who put on 75 for the first wicket, but King's 2-23 slowed their progress and left them 105-5 at stumps.
