LECHLADE have brought in Gloucestershire all-rounder Jack Taylor ahead of their trip to Premier One leaders Downend tomorrow.

The Manor Ground side have endured a tough start to life in the top flight of the West of England Premier League, with their only win of the season coming against fellow new boys Bedminster on the opening day of the campaign.

Having faced three of last year’s top four, Lechlade suffered a chastising defeat to reigning champions Bath on Saturday and now they must face a team that are setting the early pace.

However, the club will be hoping that the arrival of Taylor will give them a boost.

The 25-year-old has played 47 first-class matches for Gloucestershire with a batting average of 29.68, while, with the ball, he has taken 65 wickets at 43.16.

In List A cricket, he has an average of 30 from 36 games and has taken 29 wickets at 35.20.
