Having seen Swindon lose to Asians, Wootton Bassett only needed to beat already-relegated Wanborough to clinch the Swindon League's Division One title, but were made to struggle before emerging victorious by one wicket.

Tom Clinning's 28 not out took Wanborough to 96-4, but for Sam Lawro's 44 not out won it.

Asians gave themselves a chance of finishing runners-up with an emphatic 38-run win over Swindon, thanks largely to Jas Chahal's 29.

They also had subsequent 54-run hammering of Nationwide, but Swindon maintained their challenge when they beat Nalgo, who shot themselves in the foot by conceding 35 extras, by two wickets.

Having led Division Two for much of the season, Nalgo 2nd look likely to finish runners-up, despite a three-wicket victory over K C Club, who could muster only 70-5.

Ramsbury triumphed by three wickets over New Generation.

In Division Three, Swindon 2nd edged nearer the title with a four-wicket success over Faringdon, who crashed to just 49 not out.

Highworth have Division Four in the bag, but were made to fight hard before overcoming Woodlands by one wicket in the final over.

Woodlands consoled themselves by defeating Wanborough 2nd by 15 runs, despite Dave Ewart's 59.
