SWINDON’S greyhounds will be racing for a share of a £200,000 prize package when they begin their 2013 BAGS/SIS Track Championship campaign at Hove tonight.
The Wiltshire flyers take on hosts Hove and Poole in the first of three meetings of a round-robin, Champions League-style series, with the winning track lining up in the final of greyhound racing’s biggest team event at Sheffield on December 23.
Points scored in each of the 10 races on the day will count towards the overall totals, with the second meeting at Poole on November 23 being followed by the final evening at the Abbey Stadium on December 6.
