SWINDON taekwondo star Carla Dunne earned a silver medal at the recent UKITF British Championships at the Oasis.
She achieved this feat in the second degree ladies’ category despite having been out of competitive action for nearly a year due to patella tendinitis.
“I was very pleased to gain silver as the majority of the competition had competed in the European Championships in Barcelona in the summer and won medals,” said Dunne.
Having earned her second degree black belt a year ago, the now Paignton-based Dunne took part in a couple of smaller events in the lead-up to the British.
In the sparring, Dunne lost out to the current European champion in the semi-final and ended up winning bronze.
