SWINDON’S Radeon Cycle race team is going from strength to strength as they aim for a top five regional ranking this year.
The team was set up by level three British Cycling coach Stuart Gourley with the aim of developing new riders and is now 15 strong, consisting of second, third and fourth category riders, five juniors and one female rider.
Last year they narrowly lost out in the Cotswold Cycle Racing League to Ride 24/7, from Cirencester, although Radeon’s Ross Evans did wear the leader’s yellow jersey.
Radeon are targeting that prize again and have a strong presence in the National Junior Series as well as riders in the recent National Masters Road Race Championships.
They are also on the lookout for new sponsorship. Contact Gourley at stuartgourley@radeoncyclecoaching.com.
